The theme for today's International Women's Day is "Choose To Challenge," with the aim to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality.
Additionally, the UN Women theme for today is "Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world". This year's theme celebrates the tremendous efforts of women and girls around the world in shaping an equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Around the world, many women have stood, and continue to stand, on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, as health care workers, caregivers, innovators, community organizers, , and as some of the most exemplary and effective national leaders in combating the pandemic.
Bringing relevance to InterBay Asset Finance, International Women's Day means to us gender diversity and supporting Females in Finance.
"As McKinsey and Partners stated in an article*, 'Companies report that they are highly committed to gender diversity. But that commitment has not translated into meaningful progress.' At InterBay Asset Finance, we are proud to say that with ‘Respect Others’ being one of our core values, which are embedded into everything that we do as a business, that our female to male staff ratio is approximately 75:25, with several female staff having joined from the outset of InterBay Asset Finance's journey, nearly two and half years ago.
At InterBay Asset Finance, we will be celebrating International Women's Day today and fully support the work being undertaken by the UN, as well as both themes for this year.
